NEJIB BEN KHALFALLAH

From 1992 to 2000, Nejib Ben Khalfallah worked with directors such as Raja Ben Ammar, Tawfiq Jebali (creator of El Teatro in Tunisia), and Hichem Rostom for theatre plays presented both in Africa and Europe. From 1991 he worked with the choreographer Imed Jemaa, on a successful collaboration (Mouvement et pensée, 1990, Nuit Blanche, awarded by the third international choreographic encounters of Bagnolet-Paris in 1992, Ken Maken, 1996, Sans rien, 1997); that gave his career a truly choreographic turn. In 2004 he invested the theatre Jean Vilar in Vitry sur Seine, with the play Derrière le silence by Imen Smaoui. From 1993, Nejib Ben Khalfallah created his own choreographies, La Sieste, Tunis, 1996, Temps et Distance , Carthagena, 1997, still swinging between theatre and dance. He presented two creations at the Printemps de la Danse, Poussée in 2003, and Comment in 2004. Nejib Ben Khalfallah was awarded the RFI price for the creation Mhayer Sika, during the 7th edition of Danse l’Afrique Danse in 2008.
