Danse Map – Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival #9 April 17th & 18th and Bipod Festival April 22th 2014

For the 9th edition of the Festival, L’Officina and Sareyyet Ramallah – FRC are strengthening their links, driven by the desire to create new connexions between the artists and to develop further a singular approach on the artist/audience/space relationships. 3 artists of the Miniatures project + 3 young palestinians dancers/choreographers will meet in Ramallah for a week-long working and mentoring time. The festival then presents the new Miniatures within historical buildings, between which the audience navigates following itineraries articulated around a reflection on the protection of the historical heritage of the city – which is a highlight of the 9th edition of the RCDF festival.

Miniatures Officinae – Choreographic exhibition at the Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival #8 – April 19th and 20th 2013

As the last creation program of the Miniatures Officinae project, Miniatures Ramallah invited 7 artists in Marseille for a week-long residency between Decembre 2012 and April 2013, thus giving way to the creation of 7 new miniatures :
Farah Saleh (Palestine) – Parole, parole, parole… // Yendi Nammour (France) – Loups Of Various Emotions // Mihran Tomasyan (Turkey) – Fallen words // Adel Mashraqi (Palestine) – Our responsability towards other people // Maria-Cristina Rizzo (Italy) – A charming lover – Miniature : to be an object of the world // Jean-Marc Fillet (France) – Chair(s) // Julia Cima (France) – Le quart d’heure

Among these new miniatures, the ones of Farah Saleh, Yendi Nammour, Mihran Tomasyan, Adel Mashraqi and Maria-Cristina Rizzo, alongside with the one of Enrico Tedde that had been created within the frame of the Miniatures Maroc 2008-2009 program, are presented in Ramallah on April 19th and 20th within the frame of the 8th edition of the Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival organized by our partner Sareyyet Ramallah – First Ramallah Group. We are sorry that Julia Cima and Jean-Marc Fillet could not join for this Ramallah presentation and we can’t wait to invite them to present their miniature for other public presentations of the project.

These seven new creations takes to 38 the number of produced miniatures since the launch of the Miniatures Officinae project in 2008. With the Miniatures Ramallah program comes the end of this creation process and we now focus on the organization of several public presentations around the Basin, notably Miniatures Officinae – Choreographic exhibition at Friche la Belle de Mai that will take place from August 28th to 30th within the frame of the “Août en Danse” focus organized by Marseille-Provence 2013, European capital of culture.
